Diploma II - Diploma in Integrated Commercial Web Development

*Pre-requisite: Diploma I - Diploma in Advanced Commercial Web Development or equivalent.
The theme running through the IAM curriculum is Integration. The goal of Term 4 is to finish and polish. To inspire and to allow for the creativity core to the trade to emerge in the abilities of students in more powerful, meaningful, and professional ways. Term 4 gives students the tools and concepts they need in order to understand and to create what is most current at the highest levels of development, and to prepare graduates better to hit the ground running upon graduation.
Term 4 is also important since it is focused on a criterion of learning that is slightly different from the expectations in the preceding terms. While Terms 1, 2, and 3 provide extensive emphasis in Project Management and Client Relationships, Term 4 prepares students for the rigors of employment within the field of commercial web development. The emphases turn to the concept of team development and skill specialization. While one of the courses in Term 4 prepares students for moving on as Freelance developers, the remaining courses feed the major term requirement: students working in a team with specific roles and responsibilities, and supervised by a Project Manager, to conceptualize, plan, market, and create a web application and web-based business.
The final result, to prepare students for the two career possibilities, or choices, they might make upon graduation.
We`re looking forward to seeing the results!
