Have a Student Develop Your Site!

At IAM, our Web Design Training Program revolves around the developer-client experience, and students are required, by the end of the 9 months of their curricular studies, to have completed at least three real client-based projects and a full portfolio site that promotes their accomplishments.

The developer-client relationship is built right into the program. In Terms 1, 2 and 3, (months 1-9) clients participate on a weekly basis with their student developers. The Project Management instructors coordinate these interactions and train the students across all areas of client-developer interaction. By the end of the program, students are self-sufficient and are ready to work as either freelancers or in-house commercial developers. In combination with the Internship in months 10-12, graduates of the full 12 month program are experienced, proven, and ready for employment.

You will be successful

Prior to graduation students are required to participate in an internship program with a local web development company. This offers our students an excellent opportunity to explore their newly acquired skills as they relate to the day-to-day challenges that an actual web development company will experience.

This is an important and integral part of the Institute of Advanced Media’s curriculum and as a result the school has developed productive and long lasting relationships with many of industry’s leading web development companies, both locally and abroad.
